Can I point out one reason why the proposal to charge residents for disposal of waste by weight will not work?

All I have to do is claim that someone else put extra rubbish in my bin while it was on the street awating collection and challenge anyone to prove otherwise.

Indeed sir but that assumes you are innocent until proved guilty. I think we are all aware that these days there is a tendency for the opposite to take precedence or am I being cynical again?

In order to save us money the council will issue us all with a new padlock and keys one of which will go to the refuse collector who in turn will have a great big bunch of keys to unlock your bin weigh it and then empty and re lock it. Of course the refuse collector will then be upgraded to a Access Facilitator and will then find the job to hard so more will be employed to take some of his burden and then in time they will then have assistant access facilitators until we have a whole army of refuse access facilitators and then our council tax will have to be increased to pay for them. (Now that's cynical djrimmer.) Or have I seen the future ?????

I wonder if people who use the Tunnels know what double white lines mean? I travel everyday to work through the Wallasey Tunnel and I always use the inside lane. Yet once you come out of the tunnel people from the outside cut across with total disregard for other road users.
There are double lines there and they are not there for decoration
